a. More people means more resources, and a fertile land that it’s worked too much will end up losing its goods, in this case the nutrients since they rely on agriculture, and will end up tearing the land up, which would traduce in less workable land, less food, more shortage, hunger and deceases.
b. If they cannot work the land as they would always do, but need food, it could traduce on an overpopulated area to more decease by malnutrition and hunger due to the amount of people conforming the family but the limitations they have to cultivate the land where they live. This would increase mortality rate, it could even skyrocket it, because a family compose by too many members would have way less food to share between them; some would die from hunger/malnutrition.
It’s an option since a lot of people would die and that would definitely
decrease the numbers in the area, but it would not be a moral and
ethical solution since it would end up killing people, whether that was
the intention or not.
