In places or countries where patients do not have too much access to health care, sometimes symptoms in addition to their living conditions or occupational environment will be sufficient to determine the cause and diagnosis because they are extremely related to each other. Also, epidemiology will help to determine what is the most probable cause, therefore a patient's environment can be highly related to have an accurate diagnosis of disease.
The living conditions of undocumented workers may not provide some basic needs such as enough water or garbage disposals in order to keep houses clean as well as their surrounding neighborhood. The fact of being so closed to the forest and not having care of their home facility provides the perfect environment for the bugs to sneak in the houses and bite. Since the workers live in nearby houses the spreading becomes more obvious. The workers do not have the time to be worrying about their home conditions due to their heavy work, therefore it facilitates the bug to get in and spread, thus a reinfection cycle may occured.
