I do think without proper explanation that people will initially be turned away from the golden color of the rice. However, I think after educating them on the importance of using it and encouraging them to try it at least once may help the situation. Maybe also explain that their child will significantly improve in health if you allow them to eat this rice. I think a lot of the time people are mostly afraid of trying something new because they are not fully aware or were misinformed about the product. For example, Greenpeace is strongly against the golden rice movement and could ultimately be influencing people that they should stay away from it. By gaining trust in these communities and encouraging better health, one may be able to make a difference.
