The sustainable development (which must always be present to the population) includes economic and social development, but without forget the preservation of natural resources for future generations. To acheve it, the application of land use planning is very important, and the legislation as well the management state at all levels must be based in it.
Unfortunately, this is not many times applicable really, and the population does not have access to housing, to health, to employment, to education, to the different types of opportunities…, in the absence of sustainable strategies. So, is observed to social inequality and the “crisis socials”
